National Science Foundation: Research Experiences for Teachers (RET)

On Alternative Energy and Automotive Engineering(AEAE) at Oakland University

    A number of activities have been planned to ensure the successful integration of the teachers' engineering research experience into the classroom. The objectives of these activities are to: assist the teachers in their training as researchers; increase their knowledge in the field of alternative energy and automotive engineering in general; help them to translate their research experience and new knowledge of engineering into classroom activities; ensure the short-term and long-term positive impact on their students; and lastly foster continuing collaborations between their schools and the university.
